My inspiration to do bodywork began long ago with my own injuries. At age 26, I broke my pelvis while rock climbing. Later came whiplash in a car accident. Over the years, my efforts to rehabilitate from these injuries gave me much empathy for those dealing with conditions that do not respond readily to treatment. Receiving Hendrickson Method® Orthopedic Massage finally provided me with sustained relief from pain. Because of the help it has given me, I am enthusiastic about sharing this work with others. I feel fortunate to have trained directly with Dr. Tom Hendrickson DC, who developed this powerful method of healing.

My motivation to do Lymphatic Therapy stems from my work with Oakland’s Charlotte Maxwell Complementary Clinic, which provides massage, acupuncture and other services to low-income women with cancer. I was first inspired to volunteer there by a close friend’s long struggle with cancer. At the clinic I was struck by how often chronic and difficult lymphatic issues are a side effect of cancer treatment. I decided to pursue specialized training, and feel honored to work with those dealing with life-threatening conditions. Information about the clinic can be found at www.charlottemaxwell.org. My sessions often focus on either Orthopedic Massage or Lymphatic Therapy. But I frequently combine these modalities to fit a client's particular needs that day. By request, CranioSacral Therapy can be included. All these modes of gentle bodywork work together deeply, harmoniously and supportively.
